Thompsonville, MI — Glen Lake won GS and Caledonia won slalom but the Lakers snuck by the Scots by four points in an extremely exciting meet at Crystal Mountain. The skiing was fast and Caledonia’s depth in slalom allowed them to get the win on a challenging slalom set. “We are proud of our guys tonight. In slalom, we had a couple tough runs right off the start and the rest of the squad stepped up to score 18 points and beat Glen Lake in the event. There were a few DSQ’s and DNF’s by both teams in slalom but we know that if one of our guys has a tough run that the next guy is there to score with a time in the same range.” Coach Petrosky “We skied well in GS tonight but Glen Lake went 1-4, they are a great team when they all stand up but so are our guys. We like the challenge of skiing against great competition and know that is is helping us peak going into Regionals.” Scoring for the Scots were Jake Potgeter (2nd SL & 9th GS) , Jackson Otto (4th SL & 8th GS), Peter Calhoun (5th SL), James Prichard (5th GS), Aidan Brown (7th GS) and Justin Harper (7th SL). Caledonia's next race is the Clare Invitational at Schuss Mountain on Monday. 1 Glen Lake 43pts 2 Caledonia 47pts 3 Onekema 96pts
