Thompsonville, MI — The air temp might have been 12 but no one noticed due to the great skiing at the third Lake Michigan Ski Conference meet of the season. Caledonia’s girls ended up third place but there were some great performances on the slopes at Crystal Mountain. “The team was excited about their runs tonight. Everyone skied well and if they had a less than perfect run they followed it up with a nice run. We think that the team is moving in the right direction as we are preparing for Regionals on Feb 9th at Caberfae. Ski racing is a mental sport and skiers need to focus on the positives from each run to make their next trip down the hill their best.” “Our junior class is really providing great leadership and example for our younger skiers and we know that everything done this year will pay off in the future!” Coach Petrosky. Caledonia was led by junior Kylee Zimmerer who placed 4th in slalom and 5th in giant slalom. Madison Reynold, also a junior, placed 7th in slalom and 10th in giant slalom. Rounding out the scoring for the Scots were Salome Rouhier (8th SL & 11th GS), Ada Decker (12th GS) and Ellie Radel (11th SL). The Scots next race is the Clare Invitational at Schuss Mountain on Monday. 1st Glen Lake 38.5pts 2nd Onekema 49.5pts 3rd Caledonia 68pts
