Champs Again!

The Caledonia Boys Track and Field team traveled to Lowell on Saturday to take part in the Kathy Talus Memorial Invitational. The team came home with another championship beating runner up Hudsonville by a score of 123-78. The team had great performances everywhere highlighted by going 1,2,3 in the 1600 with 3 top 10 All Time performances. Noah Johnston - 4:20.28, Bennett Snapper - 4:26.94, and Sean Thompson - 4:27.32. Brecken Byrd also won both of his races to pace the Scots in the hurdles and Colton Heyboer set a new PR in the Long Jump of 20' 3'. Cody Meyers also won the Discus to pace the throws. First place finishes for the Fighting Scots were: 1600 Meters - Noah Johnston 110M Hurdles/300 Hurdles - Brecken Byrd 4x200 Relay - Robert Restau, Miles Grengs, Connor Myers, Sean Harney 4x400 Relay - Aaron Collins, Eli Velting, Luke Smith, Grant Feldpausch 4x800 Relay - Sean Thompson, Bennett Snapper, Grant Feldpausch, Noah Johnston Sprint Medley Relay - Robert Restau, Anthony McGruder, Aaron Collins, Bentley Nichols Shot Put Relay - Liam Moore, Cody Meyers Discus Relay - Cody Meyers, Liam Moore Pole Vault Relay - Ben Moss, Bentley Nichols Long Jump - Colton Heyboer The Scots look to try to finish an undefeated conference regular season on Tuesday at home vs. Byron Center and Mona Shores.
