Cal Girls vs. BC and MS

The Caledonia ladies faced two top opponents in a double dual meet vs. Mona Shores and Byron Center on Tuesday night and came out victorious in both meets. The score against Mona Shores was 91-46, with that victory obtained a little over half way through the meet. On the other hand, the victory over Byron Center was not secured until the last event of the night, as the winner of the 4x400m Relay would be also crowned winner of the meet and the Scots came out on top winning by a score of 73-64. Other highlights on the night were Bynn Ward breaking her own school record in the 200m dash with a time of 26.27 and Olivia Hawkins breaking her own junior class record in the 100m Hurdles, and tying her junior class record in the 300m Hurdles. Securing 1st place finishes for Caledonia were as follows: Discus- Mackenzie Krentz (vs. BC & MS) Long Jump- Averi Rosted (vs. BC & MS) High Jump- Lydia Bell (vs. BC) 3200m Relay- Tiona Sakala, Charlie Bont, Kendall VanRyn, Anna VanderWal (vs. MS) 100m Hurdles- Olivia Hawkins (vs. BC & MS) 100m Dash- Brynn Ward (vs. BC & MS) 400m Relay- Averi Rosted, Addisyn Gerken, Melanie Genao Grullon, Brynn Ward (vs. BC & MS) 300m Hurdles- Olivia Hawkins (vs. BC & MS) 200m Dash- Brynn Ward (vs. BC & MS) 3200m Run- Akaela Daman (vs. BC & MS) 1600m Relay- Olivia Hawkins, Evie Huttenga, Brooke Bender, Brynn Ward (vs. BC & MS) The ladies finish their OK Green regular season with a 4-1 record, and will head to the EK Invite this Saturday, and then the OK Green Conference Championships next weekend.
