Caledonia High School Athletics

The Caledonia boys track and field team traveled to neighbors East Kentwood to participate in the EK Early Qualifier Invitational on Saturday, May 2nd. The meet went well for the team. Some of the highlights were Colton Heyboer's long jump and new personal record of 21' 4.25'' to take 2nd overall. Also taking 2nd in a new personal record throw of 48' 6.75'' in the Discus was Liam Moore. Finally, the 4x800 relay team of Sean Thompson, Bennett Snapper, Luke Smith, and Noah Johnston also took 2nd place with a run of 8:11.24. Other medalists for the Fighting Scots were as follows: Bentley Nichols - 1600 meters - 4th Cody Meyers - Discus - 7th 4x100 Relay (Robert Restau, Capree Thomas, Connor Myers, Levi Dorband) - 6th Brecken Byrd - 300M Hurdles - 6th 4x400 Relay (Grant Feldpausch, Brecken Byrd, Eli Velting, Aaron Collins) - 6th The team will be competing next at the JV Conference Meet on Thursday and the Varsity Conference Meet on Friday for a Conference Championship.
