Ben Howell Sat, May 2, 6:07 PM (2 days ago) to Ben, bcc: me The Caledonia ladies track & field team braved the chilly temperatures on Saturday at the East Kentwood Invitational and placed 7th out of the 36 teams in the attendance. The ladies also broke two school records on the day! Averi Rosted, Addisyn Gerken, Isla Sheely, and Brynn Ward broke the school record in the 4x200m Relay with a time of 1:45.27! This time broke the old school record of 1:46.71 set by Avah Winstrom, Audrey Howell, Brooke Heyboer, and Teresa Abraham set in 2023 The same group of ladies, Averi Rosted, Addisyn Gerken, Isla Sheely, and Brynn Ward also broke the school record in the 4x100m Relay with a time of 49.47! This time broke the old school record of 49.78 set by Mayari Coriano, Brooke Heyboer, Teresa Abraham, and Ella Mealey set in 2021. Medalists for the Fighting Scots were as follows: Pole Vault- 7th, Lilli Ward 4x800m Relay- 7th, Akaela Daman, Brooke Bender, Anna VanderWal, Tiona Sakala 100m Hurdles- 4th, Olivia Hawkins 100m Dash- 2nd, Brynn Ward 4x200m Relay- 2nd, Averi Rosted, Addisyn Gerken, Isla Sheely, Brynn Ward 4x100m Relay- 2nd, Averi Rosted, Addisyn Gerken, Isla Sheely, Brynn Ward 300m Hurdles- 7th, Melanie Genao Grullon 3200m Run- 8th, Kendall Van Ryn 4x400m Relay- 8th- Addison Cook, Isabelle Horning, Addisyn Gerken, Tiona Sakala Complete results can be found here: https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/meet/619355/results The ladies will next prepare for the Conference Championship Meet, held next Friday afternoon at Byron Center.
