Caledonia High School Athletics

Yesterday boys and girls track hosted the Solderman Relays. They Scots welcomed Rockford, Zeeland East, Zeeland West, Holland, Byron Center and Lowell. On the boys side, t he team competed very well on a beautiful day against some great competition.  The team finished 3rd overall behind Rockford and Zeeland West.  There were many great performances on the day led by the photo finish in the shuttle hurdle relays between Caledonia and Byron Center.  The team had 4 relay teams that earned medals by finishing in the top 3 places in their event : 4x1600 Relay: Jordan Domany, Blake Elliot, Micah Nagle, Ayden Duffin Sprint Medley Relay:  Josh Maier, Owen Hager, Shaden Thomas, Sheldon Thomas Distance Medley Relay:  Blake Elliot, Kalen Zuiderveen, Anthony Lawlor, Jordan Domany Shuttle Hurdles Relay: Dalton Ed, Carter Tufts, Owen Hager, Brecken Byrd Meanwhile on the girls side, The Caledonia girls track & field team got to enjoy some great weather and some great competition that helped propel them to many of their best performances of the season.  The ladies placed 5th in the meet. Medalists for the ladies were: 3rd- High Jump Relay- Teresa Abraham and Emmi Mince 3rd- 4x1600m Relay- Alyssa Defields, Natalia Quigley, Leah Thompson, and Kloe Kimbrell 2nd- 4x200m Relay- Avah Winstrom, Audrey Howell, Brooke Heyboer, Teresa Abraham 3rd- Sprint Medley Relay- Ashleigh Adams, Avah Winstrom, Joelyn Abraham, Kyleigh Thompson 2nd- Shuttle Hurdle Relay- Audrey Howell, Sydney Mertz, Eliza Pehrson, Kacy Rosted 3rd- 4x100m Relay- Ashleigh Adams, Sydney Mertz, Brooke Heyboer, Teresa Abraham 3rd- 4x400m Relay- Leah Thompson, Avah Winstrom, Jessica Maier, Avalynn Klapmust
